This is one topology consideration. Students (Blue Team members) defend their network using tools and techniques learned at their respective educational institutions. They are not permitted to download various automated commercial firewall technologies as this would negate any demonstration of their network hardening and response skills.

 



 

Business scenario injects are issued throughout the competition play. These injects consist of installing and configuring services, applications, or competition play designed or approved firewalls or other network appliances.
