Rationale:
IIAS 5001
It is recognized by industry that training entry level students in network
penetration skills, tools and techniques (those with less than 20 credits
in the core of their declared major in network security, information assurance
or related subject titles) may be a threat to the entire idea of cyber security.
IIAS 5002
indicates that students enrolled into a course that
focuses on network penetration skills, tools or techniques without a
demonstrated level of program commitment and academic maturity to their
program of study is contrary to the needs of industry and national security.
IIAS 5050
IIAS 5000 series - International Industry and Academic Standards, may be
reviewed and revised as determined by the IIAS review board.
